Historically speaking, Massachusetts is known as the landing place of the Pilgrims in 1620 at Plymouth, as well as being the home of Moto-X 338 in Southwick.  The track is owned by American Legion Post 338, hence the official name of Moto-X 338, commonly referred to simply as Southwick.  The first race at the track was held in 1972 and its first professional race was in 1976.  Southwick is the only sand track on the circuit, making the conditions especially challenging for both the riders and the engines which have to run much harder than usual to pull through the soft surface.

The Maxxis Pont de Vaux 2010 12 hour endurance team event was held last weekend in the picturesque town of Pont de Vaux, France. It was the 24^th annual edition of the world famous event and the competition was tougher than ever. Paul Holmes teamed up with Romain Couprie and Joe Maessen and rode with Team Audemar to take the overall victory joining the legendary list of riders who've won this prestigious race.

The race is split between 3 stages. The first being a 3 hour day session on Saturday, followed closely by a 5 hour night session and then a final 4 hour session on Sunday. 

Holmes, Couprie and Maessen showed amazing consistency with top 3 place finishes in all sessions. They pushed enough to take the overall win with a time of 12hrs:08m: 27s

Just in case there was a doubt in anyone's mind about #1 Henry Wiles' prowess on the venerable Peoria TT, the Monster Energy Kawasaki / Don's Kawasaki backed Michigander dominated round 11 of the AMA Pro K&N Filters Grand National Championship presented by Motorcycle-Superstore.com. The win is the sixth straight for Wiles at the Illinois venue as he closes in on the "Prince of Peoria" Chris Carr's record of eight in a row.

Wiles had a perfect day, posting the fastest qualifying time, winning the fastest heat and leading all twenty five laps of the National. Winning by over 11 seconds over Rockysonline.com / Lucas Oil / Rogers Lake Racing's #21 Jared Mees.

UnadillaSports Valley in New Berlin, N.Y. is known to most simply as “Unadilla.”  The facility held its first race in 1969 and an inaugural round of what is now the AMA Pro Motocross Championship in 1970.  From 1977 until 1992 Unadilla was host to the 250cc United States Grand Prix of Motocross, an annual event bringing Europe’s best riders to the U.S. to compete against the top Americans.  In 1987 the facility was the first track in the U.S. to host a round of the prestigious Motocross of Nations event.  In 1989 Unadilla returned to the AMA Motocross Championship Series as an annual stop on the tour.
